Parsley Hawthorn (Crataegus marshallii) - A shrub or small tree to 8m. Bark scaly, mottled; the trunk single or multiple. Leaves thin, deeply incised-lobed; the main side veins run to sinuses as well as lobe points. Fruits ellipsoid, 5—9mm long; flesh soft. Twigs usually hairy; thorns 1—3cm or lacking.

Habitat:

Swamp forests, alluvial forests, dry and mesic upland slopes (especially over mafic or calcareous rocks).
